Heather and Nicola visiting Bluebell Cottage was very beneficial and gave the team good insight about children living in residential child care homes and their thoughts and feelings. Listening to Nicola who has been in that situation of being a looked after child and just listening to her experiences and how our children want to be supported by those who care for them, what they want to hear from those who care for them and the approach the team around them should be giving. I believe it would be beneficial if Bee-longing went around all the homes to give a talk and help staff especially new staff members to understand the approach that should be given to children and young people.
